Ultraviolet photometry has revealed that young open clusters in the Milky Way display extended main sequence turn-off in the colour magnitude diagram. The origin of this phenomenon is still unknown, but thought to originate from different rotation rates among stars. You will combine photometry from the Gaia and SkyMapper surveys to carry a comprehensive search of open clusters displaying extended main-sequence turn-off. Stellar spectra from the GALAH survey will then be used to quantify stellar rotation, and to gain further understanding on the physics behind this phenomenon.
