CASPIR was an infrared imager and spectrograph that was designed and constructed at MSO for operation on the 2.3m telescope. It used a Santa Barbara Research Center 256x256 InSb detector array to provide direct imaging and spectroscopic capabilities in the 1-5 micron wavelength range.
