RSAA researcher wins prestigious Louise Webster Prize
Congratulations to RSAA Postdoctoral Researcher Dr Sven Buder who was joint winner of the 2023 Louise Webster Prize for outstanding research by a scientist early in their post-doctoral career. Sven’s winning research is based on the paper Buder et al. (2021) MNRAS, 506, 150, ‘The GALAH+ survey: third data release’. He received the award and presented his research at this week's Astronomical Society of Australia's Annual Scientific Meeting.
The Louise Webster Prize is awarded annually by the Astronomical Society of Australia in recognition of outstanding research by a scientist early in their post-doctoral career. The Prize is awarded on the basis of the scientific impact of a single research paper, which has the applicant as first author. The Prize consists of the Lousie Webster Medal together with an award of $2,500 and ASA membership for the following calendar year.
