Description

The evolution of wireless communication networks, from present to the emerging fifth-generation (5G) new radio (NR), and sixth-generation (6G) is inevitable, yet propitious. The first part of the study evolves around artificial intelligence (AI)/machine learning (ML) techniques to problems in spectrum management, internet-of-things (IoT), physical layer security, and intelligent reflecting surface (IRS). Hence, leading towards efficient, secure, and smart communication for complex wireless networks. Following on the prior research experience of applied AI/ML, the second part of study highlights intelligence-based approaches for high dimensional, complex, and dynamic problems in space networks. The current global space traffic management must evolve into an updated, automated, and adaptive system to meet the needs of the exponentially growing population of Resident Space Objects (RSO) launched into orbit each year. However, achieving this autonomous adaptability comes with complex space domain awareness issues. Therefore, more sophisticated models based on machine learning methods and deep neural networks are explored to ensure autonomous, safe, and secure navigation of space objects.
