Description

The JWST View of Star Formation, Feedback and Timescales

Daniela Calzetti

The high angular resolution and infrared sensitivity of JWST are enabling the detection and investigation of the early stages of star formation in extragalactic regions. I will review recent results obtained in nearby galaxies by the JWST-FEAST project in terms of tracking the most recent sites of star formation, measuring their timescales for feedback, connecting these sites to the underlying molecular reservoirs, and linking the low-redshift results to the high-redshift findings that are starting to pour in.
