The chemistry of M dwarfs from colours

M dwarfs are the most abundant stars in the universe, and prime targets for detecting Earth-like planets. The knowledge of their stellar parameters is therefore highly desired, but their complex spectra makes this quest incredibly difficult. In this project, you will exploit the fact that the total to in-band flux in M dwarfs is very sensitive to stellar metallicity and use the Multiple Optical Infrared Technique to derive photometric metallicites of M dwarfs.
