For one day of the year, The Australian National University's Siding Spring Observatory opens its telescopes to the public for a free exclusive peek behind the scenes. You are invited to meet our astronomers and learn how they explore the universe at Australia's largest astronomy research facility.
There will be talks by world famous astronomers throughout the day and a free bus on-site to take you around the various observatories.
Check out the science displays and enjoy a snack or lunch at the newly refurbished Exploratory Café or grab a bite to eat at the Sausage Sizzle on your way around.
Entry is free and the open day will start at 10 am and run until 4pm. No bookings required and plenty of parking available on site.
