Visit Mount Stromlo Observatory

Scope Mount Stromlo cafe 

There is a café on Mt Stromlo again! Scope Mt Stromlo café opened on 19 March 2011, located in the MSO visitor centre building. Check out the Scope website for more information.

Public viewing nights with CAS and Scope Café

Scope and the Canberra Astronomical Society (CAS) have joined together to offer public viewing nights using the CAS telescopes. Come along and explore the night sky while enjoying some delicious Scope pizza. The Scope Mount Stromlo and the Canberra Astronomical Society websites provide more information and dates.
Make sure you check out the sky conditions at Mt Stromlo so you will know what to expect when you arrive.

Mount Stromlo Observatory visitor centre

Unfortunately, the Mount Stromlo visitor centre is closed indefinitely. However, you can download a walking guide for visitors to Mount Stromlo Observatory (PDF, 377kB), and a site guide (PDF, 2MB) that provides further information about the Mount Stromlo sites.

School visits
