Siding Spring Observatory

2.3m telescope at SSO

Siding Spring Observatory is one of two observatories run by the ANU's RSAA.
The other is Mount Stromlo Observatory.


A Facility of National Importance

Location

SSO is the premier facility on the Australian mainland for optical and infrared astrophysics research. It is located in the Warrumbungle Mountains near Coonabarabran in northern New South Wales.

RSAA operates the 2.3m Advanced Technology Telescope at SSO
